Hydraulic piston pump, also known as hydraulic piston pump or solid pump, is driven by a hydraulic power pack to drive a hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder pushes the conveying cylinder and outputs the material in the conveying cylinder to the pipeline. Generally divided into single plunger and double plunger. Hydraulic piston pump is a positive displacement pump, which is especially suitable for long-distance pipeline transportation of high solid content and viscous materials. Its advantage is that its operation is very stable and stable.

Hydraulic piston pump types:

Hydraulic piston pumps are classified as follows: Common classifications are radial piston pumps, single piston pumps, horizontal piston pumps, axial piston pumps and straight-axis swash plate piston pumps. The following are the characteristics of different types of hydraulic piston pumps:

1. Radial piston pump: It can be divided into two categories: valve flow distribution and shaft flow distribution.

2. Single plunger pump: a closed volume is formed between the plunger and the cylinder hole. When the eccentric wheel rotates once, the plunger reciprocates once, moving downward to absorb oil and moving upward to discharge oil.

3. Horizontal plunger pump: A hydraulic pump that consists of several plungers installed in parallel. The crankshaft is used to directly push the plunger through the connecting rod slider or the eccentric shaft to perform reciprocating motion to realize the suction and discharge of liquid.

4. Axial piston pump: It works by using the volume change caused by the reciprocating movement of the plunger parallel to the transmission shaft in the plunger hole.

5. Straight-axis swash plate plunger pump: divided into two types: pressure oil supply type and self-priming oil type.

Hydraulic piston pump principle:

The basic principle of a hydraulic piston pump is simple. This pump uses the momentum of a relatively large moving body of water to pump a relatively small volume of water up. To use a hydraulic piston pump, a water source must be located above the pump. For example, if there is a pond on the mountainside, a water pump can be installed under the pond and water pipes can be used to guide water from the pond to the pump. The water pump has a valve that allows water to pass through the pipe and accelerates the flow of water.

1. When the water reaches its maximum speed, the valve closes.

2. After the valve is closed, the flowing water generates huge pressure in the pump due to inertia.

3. The pressure opens the second valve.

4. The high-pressure water flows through the second valve and toward the water pipe (this pipe usually has an air chamber to accommodate as much high-pressure water as possible when the water rushes in).

5. At this time, the pressure in the pump drops. The first valve opens again to allow the water to flow and build up momentum again, while the second valve closes.

6. This cycle repeats.

Hydraulic piston pump structure:

The hydraulic piston pump is a positive displacement hydraulic pump. It consists of three parts: a power end, a hydraulic end and ancillary supporting parts. It is also equipped with pulleys, check valves, safety valves, pressure stabilizers, lubrication systems, etc. The power end of the hydraulic piston pump consists of a crankshaft, connecting rod, crosshead, floating sleeve, and base; the liquid end consists of a pump head, sealing box, plunger, inlet valve, and drain valve. The following is the structural diagram of the hydraulic piston pump:

Hydraulic piston pump features:

1. The parts that make up the sealing volume are cylindrical plungers and cylinder holes, which are easy to process, can achieve high matching accuracy, have good sealing performance, and still have high volumetric efficiency under high-pressure operation;

2. The flow rate can be changed by simply changing the working stroke of the plunger, making it easy to realize variables;

3. The main parts in the hydraulic piston pump are all subject to compressive stress, and the material strength properties can be fully utilized.

Hydraulic piston pump applications:

Hydraulic piston pumps are widely used in sewage treatment, solid waste treatment, mining and metallurgy, desilting, dredging, petrochemical industry, power plants, cement industry and other fields. The following are specific application scenarios:

● Gantry planer and broaching machine

●Hydraulic press

●Construction machinery

● Mining and metallurgical machinery

● Ship

How to adjust the pressure of hydraulic piston pump

1. At the pump head of the hydraulic piston pump, look for a hexagonal head similar to a screw (with a small black or yellow plastic cap), and a nut. The nut acts as a lock. You first loosen the nut, and then rotate the screw clockwise, and the pressure of the pump should increase.

2. After slowly rotating, you should be able to hear the sound of oil leakage - this sound is from the safety valve of the system. When the safety valve is working, hydraulic oil passes through it, and the temperature of the safety valve itself will increase significantly.

3. Adjust the safety valve to the same height, about 3-5 turns clockwise, and then adjust the screw of the pump head. During the adjustment process, there should be a mechanical pressure gauge connected to the pressure measuring point of the system and pump outlet, and adjust it to a pressure of 22Mpa.

4. Then rotate the safety valve body screw counterclockwise. When the mechanical gauge pressure is 22Mpa, the safety valve makes a sound, passes oil, and works. Then rotate the safety valve clockwise about 15-20 degrees, then the adjustment work is basically completed.
